Clinical Registered Care Home Manager
Location:
Bishop’s Stortford
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum
We are recruiting an experienced and passionate Clinical Registered Care Home Manager to lead a high‑quality care service in Bishop’s Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically qualified, NMC‑registered professional with a strong understanding of CQC compliance to take full operational responsibility for a well‑established care home.
The Role:As Registered Manager, you will be accountable for delivering outstanding, person‑centred care while ensuring the home operates safely, effectively, and in full compliance with CQC regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Overall leadership and day‑to‑day management of the care home
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, legislation, and best practice
- Maintain and continuously improve clinical care quality
- Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary care team
- Manage recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and staff performance
- Oversee health & safety, safeguarding, and risk management
- Manage budgets, occupancy levels, and financial performance
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and external agencies
- Prepare for and lead CQC inspections
- Proven experience as a Registered Care Home Manager
- NMC Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with clinical background
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance
- Track record of achieving or maintaining Good or Outstanding CQC ratings
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience managing budgets and operational performance
- Relevant Health & Social Care management qualifications (or willingness to work towards)
