Clinical Registered Care Home Manager

Location:

Bishop’s Stortford

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum

We are recruiting an experienced and passionate Clinical Registered Care Home Manager to lead a high‑quality care service in Bishop’s Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically qualified, NMC‑registered professional with a strong understanding of CQC compliance to take full operational responsibility for a well‑established care home.

The Role:

As Registered Manager, you will be accountable for delivering outstanding, person‑centred care while ensuring the home operates safely, effectively, and in full compliance with CQC regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overall leadership and day‑to‑day management of the care home
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, legislation, and best practice
  • Maintain and continuously improve clinical care quality
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary care team
  • Manage recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and staff performance
  • Oversee health & safety, safeguarding, and risk management
  • Manage budgets, occupancy levels, and financial performance
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and external agencies
  • Prepare for and lead CQC inspections
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Registered Care Home Manager
  • NMC Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with clinical background
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance
  • Track record of achieving or maintaining Good or Outstanding CQC ratings
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience managing budgets and operational performance
  • Relevant Health & Social Care management qualifications (or willingness to work towards)
