Base pay rangeMy client is a highly successful and listed multi-site Leisure business head quartered in Bishops Stortford. The business is currently experiencing growth and as such is seeking to strengthen its finance team with a Finance Business Partner ( ACA/ACCA/CIMA). As part of a well‑established team the successful applicant will have a fantastic opportunity to develop and enhance their skills and experience.
Job Purpose: Provide finance business partner support to the capital delivery teams whilst providing decision making support through first class financial information reporting, analysis and insight that links financial reports to business strategies and maintaining a strong system of financial controls.
Job Responsibilities:- Preparation and production of annual budgets, regular reforecasts and periodic estimates in line with and to maintain a robust framework of financial control
- In conjunction with the Finance & Accounting team, develop and deliver the monthly and periodic accounting and management information, timeliness of financial reporting within prescribed deadlines.
- Working with the capital delivery team to produce detailed project cost reports that track both actual and forecast spend
- Identification and implementation of process improvements, working with Programme staff and Finance to develop a best in class approach
- Carry out regular financial reviews of all projects and BAU programmes, ensuring forecasts are in line with plans, emerging financial risks and opportunities are identified, quantified and actions in place to optimise them
- Develop and deliver the monthly and periodic accounting and management information, timeliness of financial reporting within prescribed deadlines.
- Deliver the monthly financial results clearly setting out the drivers behind the month’s numbers and highlighting any overspend risks which need to be mitigated to Capital Delivery.
- Working with the BAU capital delivery teams to produce detailed project cost reports that track both actual and forecast spend.
- Identification and implementation of process improvements.
- Work with other members of the Finance community on ad‑hoc projects as required in relation to the deliverance of the BAU programme
- Qualified Accountant ( CIMA/ACCA/ACA) ; at least 5 years PQE
- Experience business partnering in Finance with senior stakeholders up to Director level (Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, FC)
- Experience of working in capex, supporting contract negotiation and financial/business case analysis
- Proven ability to work as a finance business partner in a matrix management structure across multiple business lines and streams
- Strong business development and commercial expertise
- Role model for leadership behaviours
- Proven track record in analytical skills, attention to detail and commercial awareness and acumen
- Considerable experience in reporting, financial analysis, management accounting and system dashboard skills
- Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for building successful relationships with the business environment
- Strong IT system orientation including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills and experience of financial modelling.
- Knowledge of SAP will be beneficial.
- Ability to perform under pressure and adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements
- Proven ability to multi‑task, prioritising own workload for best effect and return
- Strong ability to interact with senior stakeholders and directors & maintain credibility with potential commercial partners
