HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Aston, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Shifts:

Monday to Sunday, 5 days out of 7 Rates of pay:
Basic: days from £16.50, nights from £17.50 Saturday: £17.50 per hour Sunday: £20.00 per hour Benefits include:

As a Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but not be limited to):
Fridge work, maximum 3 store delivery no handball involved Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential skills:
To be successful as a Class 1 Driver , you will need: A valid UK Category CE licence A minimum of 12 month's experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes A valid UK CPC card and Digi card Good spoken and written English Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable experience:
Previous commercial driving experience Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training:
