You will be working within the Ramp and / or Baggage Hall Teams, ensuring consistent, safe delivery of high performance standards in the provision of the smooth, timely and accurate processing of passenger baggage and cargo, as well as the operation of GSE used for aircraft turnarounds including water and lavatory and de-icing. You should be able to demonstrate a hardworking, adaptable attitude and be able to thrive on variety in the workplace.

A key team player with a demonstrable background in the aviation / airport industry with experience in an Airside operation and Supervisory role would be an advantage

Role Responsibilities :
  • To lead and support your ramp teams in key areas of ramp and baggage hall operations.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with company, Airline(s), Airport(s) and regulatory bodies processes and procedures at all times.
  • Ensuring that knowledge of procedures and processes is maintained and, any new or updated processes, procedures and policies are introduced and implemented.
  • Oversee the safe and secure use of GSE / other equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that safe and efficient working practices are adhered to at all times (including but not limited to Ground Service Equipment, Aircraft Turnaround & Pushback Operation, Baggage Screening & Sortation).
  • Ensure any baggage and freight onloading / offloading problems are managed with accuracy and efficiency ensuring Aircraft Dispatcher / BOH Supervisor are kept fully informed.
  • Ensure regular preventative maintenance within the operational environment (including but not limited to removal of FOD, Ground Service Equipment checks / cleaning
  • Carry out regular turnaround inspections of ramp operations and GSE, using our I-audit tool
  • Ensure effective and appropriate communication with colleagues in all departments.
  • Ensure that your team performs their tasks effectively in order to achieve optimum staff performance
  • Participate in operational briefings / debriefings regarding performance, procedural changes, and safety issues.
  • Work cohesively as part of the team to maximise co-operation leading to the safe, efficient and effective operation, whilst maintaining airline operational integrity.
  • Liaise and work together with other departments to ensure our customers receive the best in class standard of service.
  • Ensure a record of any incidents / accidents involving Equipment, Aircraft, Customers or Staff are reported immediately to your Line Supervisor and documented accurately as per the companies Airport(s), Airline(s) & Regulatory body policies and procedures.
  • Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by Line Management.

  • Hard working, team player, flexible, able to work on a roster pattern
  • A full driving licence is essential
  • Trained to operate GSE
  • Ideally skilled to carry out Push Backs and Headset Communications
  • Ability to step up to take the lead in the absence of the shift supervisor
  • Minimum of 1 years Ramp / BHU experience on different aircraft types
  • Knowledge of safe aircraft turnaround procedures (including experience in operating multiple types of ground equipment)
  • Trained to operate equipment, i.e. Hi-Lo, Pushback, etc.
