Run Together Support Officer

England Athletics is the membership and development body for athletics and running in England. We work in partnership with the wider athletics family, especially our member clubs and bodies, UK Athletics, Sport England & commercial partners, to grow opportunities for everyone to experience our sport and to enable them to reach their full potential. England Athletics also provides national-level competition and is responsible for athlete development beneath world-class performance levels.

A vacancy has arisen at England Athletics for 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Run Together Support Officer, to support the Participation and Programmes Manager in identifying new partners to expand the Run Together Network and work alongside Club Support Managers. The role will focus on supporting a programme of engagement through our social running groups and associated partners. The Run Together Support Officer will also assist with trouble shooting the Run Together Digital Platform and signposting groups to Run Together resources.

The Run Together Support Officer will play a pivotal role in fostering active participation and growth within our social running groups and affiliated partners. The primary responsibilities will include supporting existing Run Leaders with retention and expansion strategies for the Run Together network, as well as providing additional support to our Run Together Community.

• Support the Participation and Programmes Manager in identifying new partners to expand the Run Together Network and work alongside Club Support Managers.
• Engage with our social running groups and associated partners to deliver programme activities.
• Assist with trouble shooting the Run Together Digital Platform and signpost groups to Run Together resources.
• Foster active participation and growth within social running groups and affiliated partners.
• Support Run Leaders with retention and expansion strategies for the Run Together network.
• Provide additional support to the Run Together Community.

• Excellent organisational skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to travel to event locations and various locations around the country, including some weekend work.
