Senior/Technical Lead – Cloud & Full-Stack - .NET/React (or another framework)

Hybrid (1 day per week in Birmingham)

A specialist engineering and software company at the forefront of simulation innovation is hiring a Technical Lead to guide architecture, standards and best practice across a growing product team.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll shape technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable, maintainable software across a modern cloud stack.

The company develops advanced simulation and analytics software used globally to improve safety, efficiency and infrastructure planning, saving their industry millions each year and supporting safer transport.

You’ll act as the bridge between product, delivery and engineering — translating requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions while keeping technical debt under control.

• Mentoring & technical leadership

• Lead architecture across Node, React and .NET
• Design scalable SQL/No
  
  SQL data solutions
• Own CI/CD standards and engineering quality
• Reduce technical debt and improve maintainability
• Translate product requirements into technical plans
• Support agile planning, estimation and refinement
• Mentor developers and raise coding standards
• Ensure solutions are secure, testable and observable
• Document architecture and share knowledge

You do not need to come in with knowledge of every piece of tech!

• Experience mentoring engineers
• Strong understanding of scalable cloud architecture
• Experience with distributed systems, security and resilience
• Comfortable being hands‑on in the code
