To be involved primarily in the development, support and testing of the eXimius Back Office application.

In the current environment, success requires investment managers to keep pace with rapid-fire challenges such as continuing changes in legislation, increasingly demanding customers, and new business processes and investment products. The eXimius Back Office application provides advanced tools and technology to manage these challenges delivering a platform for modern investment management with state-of-the-art capabilities.
The successful candidate will be serving some of the biggest name clients in the financial sector, therefore commitment and attention to detail is essential. He/she will work closely with business analysts, quality assurance, project management and other programmer/analysts. He/she will assist in the production of detailed specifications and programming functional requirements, and assist with unit testing and preparation of technical specifications when necessary.
Required Skills- A minimum of 2 years commercial experience of COBOL
- Good knowledge of COBOL with `embedded SQL coding
- Education to degree level

- Experience of using Git Lab
- Any experience of IBMi
- Experience of SQL Server
- Experience of Open technologies
- Exposure to Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with XML-based formats and working with XSLT
- Familiarity with principles of communications
¿ FTP, sFTP, MQ Messaging, REST API
¿ s - Experience of developing financial systems (Trading platforms; Financial messaging; security settlement)
- Business analysis skills would be advantageous, but not essential
- Highly self-motivated individual, who is self-starting
- Ability to communicate ideas and thoughts clearly and concisely
- A creative forward thinking approach
- Track record of being able to deliver to stringent timescales
- Ability to communicate and work with all members of the project team, whatever their respective levels
- Strong personal time-management skills
