We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Secure & Complex Services Advocate to join our vibrant team in Brooklands! This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact within our busy Advocacy department.
Responsibilities- Providing persuasive verbal and written representations.
- Empowering clients to have their views and wishes heard.
- Working in partnership with clients and professionals.
- Representing individuals’ needs and preferences.
- Handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
- Working independently with robust time‑management skills.
Hours of Work:
Part‑time, 25.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 9 am – 5 pm
Location:
Office based – Brooklands Hospital, Birmingham, B37 7HL (Applicants must live within the area; have a full driver’s licence and access to their own transport)
Salary:
Starting Salary £15,272.71 (Full‑time equivalent £24,242.40 per annum)

- Ideally have knowledge and experience of working with patients detained under the Mental Health Act.
- Ability to cope well with pressure and adversity in challenging environments.
- Knowledge and understanding of risk management in secure environments.
- Ideally have knowledge of Non‑Instructed Advocacy.
- Strong time‑management and computer literacy.
- Flexibility, with a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- 25 days annual leave + bank holiday (rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service) with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days leave + your birthday off as an additional holiday day after 1 year’s service.
- Discretionary shutdown days at Christmas with up to 4 additional days leave.
- 1 community leave day per annum.

- Death in service cover.
