Commercial Gas Engineer

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, fault fixing, maintenance duties, installation and commissioning of gas central heating systems within commercial properties.
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed.
• Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations.
• Resolve problems or set in motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed.

We work closely with the Home Office in order to prevent unlawful working. A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application, which we will pay for. Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.

• Qualified or currently undertaking the following health and safety qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, COCN1/CODNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, CIGA1, CORT1, CDGA1
  
  CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, Gas Auditing Qualification, HTR1, Unvented – G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS).
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role.
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation.
• Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills.
• Working knowledge of the installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating systems in commercial properties.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle; drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

• Role salary is £43,418 with an additional policy allowance of £2,579 per annum.
