Location:
Midlands Based (Site-Based, UK Travel Required)
Salary: £39,000 – £45,000 DOE
Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (Regular Working Away)
Motion Tech is hiring an Installation Electrician to strengthen our growing internal installation team. This is a permanent opportunity to join a close-knit industrial automation business delivering high-quality control system installations across the UK.
If you are an experienced Industrial Installation Electrician who takes pride in clean, safe, professional work and are comfortable working away Monday–Friday, this role offers stability, paid travel time, structured project work and long-term career progression.

As part of our continued growth, we are building our own strong internal installation capability creating long-term opportunities for skilled electricians who want to develop within a forward-thinking automation business.
Key Responsibilities:
Install cable containment systems including tray, trunking and conduit
Install and terminate SY, CY, YY and similar industrial cabling
Connect 400V motors, 24V DC motors, sensors and safety devices
Terminate and connect control panels
Read and interpret electrical schematics, cable schedules and layout drawings
Assist with dead testing and functional testing on site
This is a hands-on, site-based installation role working within structured project teams across the UK.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a proactive, team-focused Installation Electrician with strong industrial experience and a high standard of workmanship.
Essential
Skills & Experience:
Level 3 City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Proven industrial installation experience
Ability and willingness to work away from home Monday–Friday
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
2391 Inspection & Testing
NVQ Level 3 / Completed Apprenticeship
AM2
ECS Card, IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS or First Aid
What’s On Offer
£39,000 – £45,000 per annum DOE
Travel time paid at full hourly rate
£35 overnight allowance when working away
Hotels arranged and paid for
Company vehicle provided to established staff
40p per mile if using own vehicle
Overtime available (1.5x weekends)
Ongoing training and career progression
