Overview
Reporting to:
The Mechanical Fitter will report to the Contracts Manager. This position may also receive professional instructions from Site Supervisors, Project Managers and Project Engineers.
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment on water and wastewater treatment sites, including fitting pipework, pumps, valves, and other treatment components.
- Work from technical drawings, troubleshoot installation issues, and ensure all work is completed safely and to industry standards.
- Setting to technical drawings
- Welding & fabrication site activities as required
- Operating site-specific power tools and equipment
- Adherence to Health and Safety protocols
- Following instruction from Site Supervisors and Contract Managers
- CSCS Card (Labourer minimum requirement)
- Mechanical Qualification
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- Excellent punctuality and professionalism
- Demonstrate hard working and can do attitude
- Ability to work well within a team
- Demonstrate use of initiative
Basic 37.5-hour week £16.00 uplifted to £17.50 once probation has been passed
