Domestic Gas Engineer
📍 College Road, Kingstanding (covering Birmingham)
🕒 Permanent | Full Time | 40 hours per week
💰 Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum + benefits
Role Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Gas Engineer to work on a responsive repairs and maintenance contract across residential and commercial properties throughout Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine inspections, servicing and diagnostics of gas appliances and heating systems
* Complete repairs and maintenance works to meet safety, performance and compliance standards
* Respond effectively to emergency and reactive repair requests
* Accurately record all works undertaken, including materials used and time spent
* Provide technical advice and support to colleagues when required
* Liaise professionally with tenants and clients, clearly explaining works and offering maintenance advice
* Ensure all tasks comply with current gas regulations, health & safety standards and procedures
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management

What We’re Looking For
* Valid Gas Safe registration
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Gas Engineering (or equivalent)
* Experience in gas appliance installation, servicing, maintenance and repair
* Working knowledge of health & safety regulations within construction and property maintenance
* Understanding of gas safety legislation and compliance requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
* Previous experience in a similar role within housing, construction or property maintenance
