Multi Skilled Shift Engineer – Electrical Engineer Bias

We are seeking an experienced Shift Electrical Bias to work with a range of Mitie clients to conduct multi‑skilled maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines and to provide reactive and proactive maintenance service as per project requirements to all operational equipment.

Three shift system – Morning – 6am‑2pm (Mon‑Fri), Afternoon – 2pm‑10pm (Mon‑Thu then Fri 10am‑6pm), Night – 10pm‑6am (Mon‑Fri).

• Complete electrical installations and assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, and alignment tasks.
• Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders.
• Use appropriate test equipment and tools, understanding their limitations.
• Follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures – no live working permitted.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and attend toolbox talks.

• Qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, and controls.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and procedures.
• Self‑motivated, well‑organised, and eager to learn.
• Respectful, professional, and confident in raising safety concerns.

Carry out modifications and installations, maintain, repair, and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability. Liaise with contractors or external suppliers and complete required paperwork and reports.
