Account Manager - Joinery & Shopfitting.
Location:
Leicestershire. A well-established, family-run joinery and shopfitting business based in Leicestershire is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join their team. This is a client-facing role with a strong focus on both account management and new business development, ideal for someone who understands the technical and commercial realities of shopfitting, joinery, or POS.
The business has a close-knit, supportive culture where people genuinely enjoy working together. Despite the family feel, they deliver large-scale, high-end projects for premium brands and work closely with design agencies on bespoke retail and commercial interiors.
The RoleYou'll be responsible for managing existing client relationships while actively developing new business opportunities. Acting as the key point of contact, you'll guide projects from initial enquiry through to delivery, working closely with internal teams to ensure commercial and technical requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Managing and growing existing client accounts
- Developing new business within retail, commercial, and design agency sectors
- Acting as the main client contact from brief through to project completion
- Understanding client requirements and translating them into workable solutions
- Working closely with design, production, and installation teams
- Preparing and managing quotations, pricing, and commercial negotiations
- Building long-term relationships based on trust, quality, and delivery
- Proven experience in an Account Manager or Business Development role within joinery, shopfitting, or POS
- Strong technical understanding of shopfitting and bespoke joinery projects
- Commercially minded, confident discussing pricing, margins, and project scope
- Comfortable in a client-facing role and capable of winning new business
- Professional, personable, and relationship-driven
- Able to work collaboratively within a small, close-knit team
