Business Development Manager

Position: Business Development Manager (Permanent)
Business Development Manager | Construction Consultancy |£44,000 – £46,000 basic + 5% commission on all sales

UK-based (Midlands or Home Counties preferred)

We are recruiting a Business Development Manager for a well-established construction consultancy delivering professional services across the built environment. This is a genuine relationship-led role focused on developing existing and warm opportunities, not cold calling.

The Role

* Manage and develop a pipeline of warm, inbound and existing client opportunities

* Build long-term relationships with clients across construction and related sectors

* Convert qualified leads into instructions for consultancy services

* Work closely with technical and delivery teams to support proposals and client meetings

* Conduct client meetings primarily via Teams, with minimal travel required

* Support strategic growth by identifying repeat and cross-selling opportunities

What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience in service-based sales (consultancy, professional services, construction services, or similar)

* Strong relationship management and account development skills

* Comfortable selling value-led services rather than products

* Commercially astute, organised, and self-motivated

* Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision

* UK-based, ideally Midlands or Home Counties, but location is flexible
