This is an 11‑month secondment opportunity with Diageo. Our Sales team builds relationships with customers to sell iconic brands across 180 countries. You will operate in the highest value customers in the On‑Trade channel, unlocking brands in key outlets and delivering brand objectives.

Role Responsibilities
  • P&L responsibility for relevant customers in on‑trade channel.
  • Lead commercial performance of the account, unlocking growth and maximizing sustainable profit.
  • Own day‑to‑day customer relationship, effective negotiation, persuasion and conflict management/resolution skills.
  • Accurate forecasting, internal performance management and proactive RTM and supply team connectivity.
  • Work with Brand Activation Ambassador to coordinate key focus brand plans.
  • Collaborate on building and chipping in to the on‑trade distribution agenda, driving tools to deliver annual financial and market share objectives.
  • Work with brand ambassadors, customer marketing and category team to deliver commercial and activation goals.
  • Navigate ROI decisions with each customer, aligning with key priorities for sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Deliver exceptional results for Diageo through effective cross‑functional working, balancing key external stakeholders.
Experience / Skills Required
  • Established commercial experience including on‑trade/account management.
  • Retail/FMCG sector experience.
  • Deep understanding of influential on‑trade GB category knowledge across spirits, tba and trends.
  • Passion for core, premium and super premium brands.
  • Advanced negotiation and customer relationship‑building skills.
  • Robust commercial understanding, P&L literacy, analytical skills, deriving insight from data.
  • Strong cross‑functional team relationships and ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mentality to grow existing and win new customers.
