Account Manager – Laboratory Products South West UK

Salary/Rate: £35,000-£40,000 plus bonus

Do you have a microbiology or biology educational background? Do you have sales experience working face-to-face with customers? Are you looking for a new challenge and to join a great team of sales professionals looking to make a difference?

Our client is a leading provider of laboratory equipment and consumables who sell their products into a wide range of customers across the Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Industrial markets. Priding themselves on a top‑class customer service and high quality industry leading products, they are now looking for an Account Manager to join the team and look after customers in the South West region of the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Looking after existing customers, growing the accounts and nurturing business for the company
  • Seeking out new business opportunities
  • Meeting with customers across the South West to explore new ventures and ensure service levels are upheld
  • Accurate record keeping and data logging using the company CRM
  • Provide business proposals, quotations, and pricing for products, as required.
  • Reporting sales figures to the senior leadership team
  • Keep up to date with industry and product knowledge
Qualifications
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific subject, ideally biology, microbiology, cellular biology, biomedical science or chemistry
  • Hold a Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West of the UK
  • Have previous sales experience, ideally within the scientific industry
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively
  • Possess technical knowledge of laboratory products, equipment, and consumables
  • Be able to present to a variety of audiences
  • Be motivated, hardworking and ambitious
  • Be highly organised and able to manage workload. Ideally, have a background in chemistry or related scientific area
  • Have experience working with a CRM
