We are welcoming applications from enthusiastic Commis Chefs ahead of the opening of a high‑profile ingredient‑led restaurant in Birmingham city centre.

This is an excellent opportunity to build strong foundations in a professional kitchen within a group known for quality consistency and well‑structured development. The restaurant will operate breakfast, lunch and dinner focusing on fresh seasonal produce and well‑executed cooking.

As Commis Chef you will support the brigade with daily preparation and service learning core skills while working alongside experienced chefs in a fast‑paced but supportive environment.

• Assisting with prep and mise en place for all services
• Preparing ingredients and supporting basic cooking under supervision
• Maintaining cleanliness organisation and food safety standards
• Learning knife skills, portioning timing and kitchen procedures
• Supporting senior chefs during service
• Helping with stock rotation and basic kitchen tasks

• Some kitchen experience preferred though strong trainees or apprentices are welcome
• Eager to learn, reliable and able to take direction
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work
• Calm attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Comfortable working a 48‑hour week on a 4 on / 4 off rota
• Right to work in the UK
