We are currently looking for a Chef to join our Catering Team at the Practice Plus Hospital Birmingham. Working 37.5 hours a week, the role is to assist the Catering Manager with the management, development and delivery of all aspects of the catering service within the Hospital. This is not your typical hospital food. We pride ourselves on creating fresh and delicious food for our patients, staff, and visitors and have the spacious environment to create varied and exciting dishes.

• To assist the Head Chef with ensuring that all equipment used in the department is in good working order and is used appropriately.
• To assist the Head Chef to ensure stock levels are maintained and that re-ordering of equipment and stores are in line with company policy and within department budget.

We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of and can ensure that systems are in place so that all staff are aware and can work in accordance with legislation and Company policies pertaining to Health and Safety, COSHH and infection control. You’ll have great interpersonal skills and will be able to deputise in the absence of the Head Chef, planning and organising to provide an efficient service.
