Position: Weekend Chef - Enhanced DBS required

Blue Arrow is recruiting for an experienced weekend chef to work with our client in a care home in Birmingham.

Hours

Weekends
Flexible for mornings and afternoons during the week

Your role will be to:

Assist in the daily management of the kitchen team
Cook for up to 400 at a time
Cook from fresh following a set menu rota
Stock management and ordering
Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure highest quality
Keeping detailed records of wastage, temperature checks, stock levels
Maintaining high standards of food and kitchen hygiene at all times.

Skills you will need:

Food hygiene level 2 or above
Food allergens
Strong organisational skills
Knowledge of current food safety regulations
Ability to work under pressure
Self motivated
Enhanced adult & child DBS dated within the last 12 months or registered on the update service
