Catering Supervisor – Wattville Primary School, Handsworth B21 0DP
Permanent Grade 3 - £27,254 - £33,699 pro rata Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 30hrs per week
Cityserve is a Birmingham City Council catering service for school meals providing fresh and nutritious food for school kitchen across the UK, healthy eating is a continuous theme throughout all of our menus and we are committed to the wellbeing of pupils. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, delivers excellent customer service and is able to motivate and support team members.
As a Catering Supervisor your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals for pupils including conveying to another site
- Planning and controlling all aspects of the service
- Keeping the kitchen clean & tidy
- Costing, stocktaking and keeping appropriate records using IT skills
- Learning and Oracle
- Staff training
- To maintain a menu with balanced diets and allergen control
- To be aware of the care users’ needs and dietary preferences.
- You will work collaboratively with managers and supervisors to ensure the first-class delivery of food in school kitchens
Previous kitchen experience is essential to this role

- Allergy Awareness Certificate
- Experience in a similar environment
