Our Kitchen Assistants are responsible for preparing our food offering to the highest quality and standards.

• Ensuring the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of prepared Pasta Sauces and other ingredients to enable quick service while controlling food costs.
• Wearing a full smart clean uniform and protective clothing as required.
• Adhering to the Pasta Evangelists Standard to keep products at the highest possible quality.
• Maintaining an exceptionally clean kitchen that complies with all Health and Safety / Quality and Safety regulations.
• Monitoring availability and informing Team leaders and wider team in advance.
• Documenting and keeping a record of information on food as appropriate, ensuring stock rotation principles (FIFO) are adhered to.
• Recording food wastage accurately.
• Utilising SOPs to maximise the quality and speed of food readiness.
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained to SOP standards and temperature records are kept for safe food handling.
• Preparing and cooking food to the highest standards and complying with “How to Cards”.
• Checking deliveries into the store and reporting any issues to the Team Leader / Manager.
• Operating the wash‑up area effectively and ensuring equipment is thoroughly cleaned.
• Ensuring rubbish is disposed of correctly in line with company waste management processes.
• Reporting equipment defects quickly to Team leader or Area Manager.
• Following close‑down kitchen procedures and keeping the kitchen clean and prepared for the next shift.
• Organising pest checks and reporting any concerns.

• Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and preparation techniques.
• Basic culinary techniques such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring ingredients.
• Efficiency in a fast‑paced environment with prioritising tasks and managing time effectively.
• Meticulous and detail‑oriented in food preparation, cleaning, and kitchen organisation.
• Team player with effective communication and following instructions from the Team Leader / Area Manager.
• Adaptability to changing situations, work schedules, and tasks in a dynamic kitchen environment.

• £12.21 per hour – £13.21 per hour from midnight onwards.
