Full time starting salary is normally in the range £33,002 to £35,608 with potential progression once in post to £39,906

Grade: 6

Part Time (22.5 hours per week)

Fixed Term contract up to June 2027

Background

To assist in research (by carrying out clinical data collection or analyses). Providing research support for variety of clinically focussed projects within the research group.

The research focus for the group involves studying blood cancer patient cohorts, the impact of novel therapies and complications associated.

Role Summary
  • Enthusiastic and motivated person to work in the research group of Dr Helen Parry based in Immunology and Immunotherapy  research focus for the group involves studying blood cancer patients.

  • Contribute to publications
  • Collect and analyse clinical data and correlate with laboratory findings.
Main Duties
  • Collect research data; input data from clinical records from visits to local NHS sites
  • Process and analyse independently research data as directed, adhering to GCP and GDPR
  • Present research outputs, including contributing to academic publications or parts thereof, for example at seminars and as posters
  • Develop database and liaise with UoB Redcap team
  • Carry out administrative tasks related directly to the delivery of the research including ethics approval process
  • Promotes equality and values diversity acting as a role model and fostering an inclusive working culture.
Person Specification
  • GCP trained
  • Experience of working within healthcare setting
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area
  • Practical experience of applying the relevant skills and techniques for the responsibilities listed
  • Ability to analyse information and communicate effectively
  • Ability to access and organise resources successfully
  • Knowledge of the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010, and how to actively ensure in day to day activity in own area that those with protected characteristics are treated equally and fairly
  • Experience with graphpad, SPSS or other statistical analysis needed.
