Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Project Quality Specialist, you will become part of the UK Quality and Continuous Improvement Team. You will plan, organize, and monitor Quality activities on projects from the tendering phase to project handover to the satisfied customer. Quality and Continuous Improvement are key to the growth and development of the business from learning from past mistakes and identifying opportunities to improve.
The quality of projects and feedback from our customers enables the business to develop and maintain being a market leader with our offerings. Through monitoring and managing our projects you will ensure continued growth and development of our people and organisation

How you'll make an impact:Act as a role model for a strong Quality culture, driving Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
Support Q&CI Strategy implementation within the UK Operating Unit
Maintain, manage, and improve our certified Quality Management System (QMS)
Perform assessments and audits as an input to improving processes
Lead improvement projects, facilitate lessons learned and best practice sessions, and share acquired knowledge within the organisation
Drive Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) within the organisation and during project execution to ensure compliance with customer, company, and/or regulatory requirements
Support project execution with Project Quality Plans (PQPs), Master Test Plans (MTPs), and, where appropriate, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Review supplier Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Test Reports (ITRs) for accuracy and completeness in accordance with Hitachi Energy and the customer Quality Control Plans (QCPs)
Review customer specifications, collect customer feedback, and respond to deviations or nonconformities
Provide training to individuals and teams on Q&CI topics so that they are better equipped to drive the quality and improvement efforts
Your Background:Bachelor’s degree or related experience
Proven experience in Quality, preferably within a project-based business and/or Engineering environment
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, methodologies, and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within a large and complex organisation
Familiarity with Continuous Improvement frameworks, such as Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, and 8D
Willingness to travel to the office and/or project locations within the UK (10% travel);
