Position - Ground Maintenance Operative
Location - Coventry
Pay - £12.60 Per hour PAYE | £15.96 per hour Ltd Umbrella (including Holiday)
Hours - 37 per week

Service Care Solutions have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ground Maintenance Operative to work out of Coventry. Our client is a Housing Association, based in Coventry. You will be working a 37-hour week, carrying out the duties below.

• Undertaking gardening, garden clearance and/or grounds maintenance for a range of properties in accordance with the service specification and works schedule.
• Undertaking seasonal external maintenance work such as hard landscaping or fencing repairs.
• Supporting the neighbourhoods team to manage estates to the highest standards and to the satisfaction of customers.
• Supporting the sustainability of neighbourhoods by maintaining high standards of presentation.
• Delivering excellent services to customers and working to achieve performance targets and high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Work as part of a team delivering gardening services for properties and other landlords, to agreed timescales and specifications (grass cutting, clearance, planting, weeding and shrub maintenance).
• Undertake external maintenance work such as slab repairs and fencing, within agreed timescales.
• Use modern technology to support delivery of the role on a mobile basis; operate equipment to minimise risks (alarms, trackers where provided).
• Provide a positive customer experience by presenting schemes to high standards and contributing to customer satisfaction with the Housing Association as the landlord.
• Support value for money by helping ensure the service remains competitive and viable, in collaboration with the Estate Services Manager.
• Deliver excellent customer service, respond to enquiries positively, and refer to relevant colleagues as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and colleagues across the association to share information, implement best practice, and continuously improve service to customers.
• Demonstrate the organisation’s vision, values and behaviours at all times.
• Compile accurate performance or completion information for review by the team manager.
• Work to achieve performance targets, identify barriers, and agree remedial actions with the team leader.
• Ensure health and safety considerations are central to all activities; attend health and safety training or briefings as required and comply with risk assessments.
• Use personal protective equipment appropriately; ensure equipment is well maintained; comply with COSHH requirements and carry out work safely for operatives and others.
• Follow safeguarding training; recognise potential abuse/neglect in children or vulnerable adults and respond in accordance with safeguarding policies and local board procedures.
• Make timely referrals and take immediate action if there is a risk of significant harm.
• Seek continuous improvement in service quality and delivery, including developing skills and knowledge to maximise customer satisfaction and achieve key performance indicators.
• Work within policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Customer Involvement, Equality and Diversity, and Safeguarding.
• Undertake any other duties commensurate with this post as reasonably requested by the Team Leader (Grounds Maintenance).

• Previous Ground Maintenance experience.
• Be able to work outside in all weathers.
• Physically fit due to ground conditions.
• Hold a Full UK Driving License.

Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm, and flexible to work weekends when required.
