Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal FTC

Overview

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal FTC. 12-month fixed-term contract. The role will include all aspects of nursing within a 6-site small animal practice with two accredited hospitals. Based mainly at our Northfield site, with required cover at other local branches as needed. We have ultrasound, CT, K-laser, Endoscopy and laparoscopy and dental X-ray facilities and a team of Vets, Nurses, Student Nurses, Veterinary Auxiliaries and Receptionists.

• Carry out general nursing duties including inpatients, theatre practice, basic laboratory tasks, consulting, patient admits and discharges, triaging patients, and assisting with incoming calls.
• Assist with pricing of procedures, stock control, ordering, and supporting student nurses and new graduate vets.

Ideally full-time (40 hours per week). Shifts vary between 07:00 and 19:30, Monday to Friday, and 1:12 Saturday mornings.

Manor Vets comprises multiple practices with 24 Veterinary Surgeons, 25 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 7 Student Veterinary Nurses, 9 Veterinary Auxiliaries, 17 Receptionists, 4 admin staff and a management team. Our hospital supports staff with a wide caseload and holds certificate holders across surgery, medicine, cardiology, exotic species, ophthalmology and ECC.
