Dialysis Registered Nurse Night Shift Hospital

Overview

DaVita – which is Italian for "giving life" – is working to provide quality service to patients, partners, and teammates. Our mission is to be the Provider, Partner, and Employer of Choice. This position is for an Acute (Inpatient) Dialysis Nurse at a Birmingham, Alabama hospital.

• No dialysis experience is required.
• Training may take place in a facility or a training facility other than your assigned home facility.
• Potential to float to various facilities during and after your training.
• You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Be part of a supportive team that collaborates in a positive environment.
• Deliver care to patients with multiple co‑morbidities requiring individualized treatment plans.
• Oversee a group of patients with support from PCTs for patient observations, measurements, and machine setup.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment using your head, heart, and hands.
• Specialty in multiple renal therapies:
  Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Apheresis.
• Work daily in a hospital setting, delivering dialysis to patients at a contracted healthcare system.
• Provide specialty nephrology care in ICU, CCU, ED, and other settings.
• Work scheduled and on‑call shifts; your daily schedule may vary with patient needs.
• DaVita's Inpatient Dialysis Program is Joint Commission Accredited.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or three‑year diploma from an accredited program may substitute.
• Successful completion of the pre‑employment color‑blind test (accommodation may be provided).
• Desired previous experience (not required): ICU, CCU, ER, Med‑Surg, Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
