Individual Giving Coordinator
The Individual Giving Coordinator is a key member of the Development team responsible for executing and managing strategies to engage and retain individual donors, enhance donor stewardship, and support long-term fundraising growth. This exempt role involves independent judgment, strategic planning, donor analytics, campaign management, and cross‑functional collaboration to increase donor support and deepen donor relationships.
Requirements DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and implement systems for the accurate and timely processing of individual gifts, including coding, batch entry, receipting, and acknowledgments, in accordance with Community Food Bank (CFB) policy.
- Analyzes individual donor giving patterns and campaign performance to inform segmentation, donor engagement strategies, and mid‑level gift cultivation efforts.
- Manages content creation and execution of individual giving campaigns, including direct mail, recurring giving programs (e.g., Meal Makers), and donor appeals.
- Drafts, customizes, and manages donor communications and acknowledgment letters, including In Memory of/In Honor of letters, CEO signature requests, and year‑end giving statements.
- Collaborates with the Director of Development to design and implement donor stewardship and recognition strategies, driving donor pipeline development and retention.
- Oversees donor database quality and integrity by applying best practices for data maintenance and reporting; partners with Development and Finance teams to ensure alignment.
- Coordinates and evaluates the Direct Mail program, including campaign planning, vendor coordination, message development, and post‑campaign analysis.
- Leads research on donor prospects and maintains prospect tracking systems to support the cultivation of mid‑level and major gifts.
- Generates monthly, quarterly, and annual reports analyzing fundraising performance, donor retention, and individual giving metrics.
- Manage and utilize donor engagement platforms such as Classy, Sales Force, Double the Donation, and Form Assembly to streamline giving processes and reporting.
- Represents CFB at relevant community and donor engagement events to build awareness and foster donor relationships as needed.
- Partners with the Development and Finance Departments to ensure monthly reconciliation of gift revenue and reporting accuracy.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of donor data, research, communications, and records in compliance with donor preferences and CFB policies.
- Performs other strategic development‑related duties assigned to advance individual giving initiatives and organizational goals.
- Manage and Optimize donor giving portals, ensuring a secure intuitive user experience.
- Manage a portfolio of individual donors to drive sustainability and increased giving.
Minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising or donor relations.
Strong relationship‑building and communication skills across diverse audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge of fundraising principles and data integrity best practices.
Proficient in donor databases (Salesforce, Go Fund Me Pro preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Self‑starter with a team‑oriented, flexible, and professional approach.
Excellent customer service and problem‑solving abilities.
Valid Alabama driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
