The Bishop of Birmingham wishes to appoint an Associate Vicar (Revitalisation)

Building upon the flourishing revitalisation of St Mary’s Bearwood, we are looking for a hope-filled, missional leader to join our thriving church and lead the revitalisation of the neighbouring multi-cultural parish of St Matthew’s with St Chad’s Smethwick.

We are looking for:

  • A confident ‘word and spirit’ leader who can work sympathetically across church traditions
  • A missional pastor who will love the local community and lead evangelistically in a context of urban deprivation
  • An inspiring leader and communicator who can encourage, equip and release others of different cultural backgrounds
  • A minister to all ages who can inspire and attract younger people and be an effective partner to our C of E Primary school
  • A pioneer who is energised by new missional endeavour and cross-cultural mission

This role is purposed to plant a new worshipping community with a team from St Mary’s Bearwood to revitalise the mission and ministry of St Matthew’s with St Chad’s parish.
