Rotating Days & Nights 4 on / 4 off

Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a state-of-the-art chilled food manufacturing facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer looking to progress their career within a fast-growing business.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production equipment. Diagnose faults and carry out timely, effective repairs to minimise downtime. Maintain and improve a wide range of food packaging and processing machinery, including:
Conveyor systems Heat sealers Netting and flow-wrapping machines Coding and labelling systems Bucket fillers Strapping machines Work closely with Production teams to support operational performance. Provide technical guidance and support to Technical and Machine Operators. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and efficiency. Ensure compliance with all health and safety and food safety standards. Skills & Experience Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment (ideally food manufacturing).
Formal Electrical Engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, Engineering Apprenticeship, or Food & Drink Apprenticeship Standard). Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability across electrical and mechanical systems. Experience maintaining standard industry machinery, including conveyor systems, bucket fillers, and strapping machines. Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement activities. Personal Attributes Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
