Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Extrusion Operative to join our dynamic tubing manufacturing team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely as part of the tubing manufacturing team to produce high quality transfer and fluid handling tube products. Collaborate with extrusion line setters to enable the production of various sizes, lengths and specifications of tube products supporting critical industries including biopharma, medical, water, food and special processing industries.

What you’ll be doing

  • Adhere to strict hygiene procedures and use all required PPE to minimize the risk of product contamination.
  • Assist in the transfer of raw materials and consumables into clean rooms as defined in SOPs.
  • Use all tooling and aids provided to maximize efficiency and ensure consistency in quality level.
  • Maintain the rotation of raw material stocks according to laid‑down procedures, replenishing clean‑room stock as necessary.
  • Count out work for transfer from cleanroom and ensure batch records are correct.
  • Maintain quality records of all production for traceability.
  • Work closely with the Tubing Production Planner to ensure manufactured output matches customer requirements for on‑time delivery.
  • Prioritize workload to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Perform additional tasks associated with tubing extrusion production and process improvement as expected.
  • Carry out other duties associated with cleanroom production, including but not limited to extrusion.
  • Provide support for various production activities, including end‑of‑line processes.
  • Embrace Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the tubing value stream, working closely with Team Leaders to develop and implement new ideas.
  • Assist with process validation of new equipment.
  • Support and drive 5S activities across the tubing value stream to maintain an efficient and safe workspace.
  • Support process improvement investigations, including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
Skills / Experience
  • Resilience and the ability to thrive in a high‑pressure work environment.
  • Experience working within a culture of continuous improvement for both production processes and Health & Safety.
  • Previous experience in a cleanroom (preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of cGMP.
  • Teamwork – ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment, within a Class 7 cleanroom.
  • Medical device manufacturing background is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with 5S processes.
  • Keen eye for detail and willingness to utilize available resources to drive process improvement.
