Position: CNC Turning Programmer (Permanent)
CNC Turner / Programmer Setter
£36,000 – £40,000 per annum

I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company who are looking to appoint a Skilled CNC Turner / Programmer to join their growing team.
This is a modern, clean workshop environment producing high-quality precision components for specialist engineering sectors. The company has a strong reputation for quality, low staff turnover and continued investment in machinery.

🛠 The Role

* Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes

* Working with Fanuc and/or Hurco controls

* Programming for one-off prototypes and small batch work

* Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings

* Working to tight tolerances

* Producing high-quality precision components
This is a hands-on role suited to a machinist who enjoys problem solving and working on varied, technically interesting parts — not repetitive production work.
👤 Requirements

* Minimum 3 years CNC turning experience, with programming ability (Fanuc essential, Hurco advantageous)

* Confident setting and operating independently

* Able to read and work from detailed engineering drawings

* Experience machining complex components to tight tolerances

* Quality-focused and self-motivated
