A permanent Laser Operator opportunity has become available with a well-established Birmingham manufacturer specialising in the design and production of bespoke components in mild steel, stainless steel, brass, and aluminium. The business operates in a precision‑driven, quality‑focused environment where accuracy, efficiency, and delivery performance are critical. With continued investment in production capability, they're looking for an experienced Laser Operator to support daily output, machine performance, and quality standards on site.

• Setting up and operating CNC laser machines to produce components to engineering drawings and production plans.
• Loading and unloading sheet material safely to maintain efficient production flow.
• Completing in‑process quality checks to ensure dimensional and finish standards are met.
• Carrying out routine maintenance, daily checks, and first‑line fault finding.
• Working with production and planning teams to achieve output, quality, and delivery targets.

• Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of materials and thicknesses including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and quality awareness.
• Comfortable working in a production‑focused, deadline‑driven environment.

• Competitive hourly rate circa £15 p/h+.
