Cnc Programmer Setter Operator

ALLIANCE PERSONNEL are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter Operator to join our client based in OLDBURY.

Pay: £17.50- £19 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Hours:

07:00-16:00 Monday to Friday ( 42.5hrs per week ) OVERTIME AVAILABLE

Key Responsibilities

* Set and operate Citizen Sliding Head & Fixed Head CNC lathes (L20s, L32s – including LFV)

* Set and operate Miyano Fixed Head CNC lathes with Fanuc controls

* Program CNC machines for new jobs using existing G-code templates

* Change tips, drills, tools, and inserts to maintain machine performance

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

* Perform first-off inspections and measure parts using vernier calipers, micrometers, ring gauges, and shadow graphs

* Follow production job card system and maintain production documentation

* Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow

Key

Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter, CNC Operator, or Sliding Head Setter

* Strong knowledge of Citizen sliding head or fixed head lathes and Miyano fixed head lathes

* Competence with Fanuc controls and ability to edit and optimise G-code

* Ability to work with tight tolerances across a variety of metals

* Good understanding of precision engineering and lean manufacturing principles

* Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment and following quality procedures

* A methodical, detail-oriented approach and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
