Overview

A well‑established metal fabrication and engineering manufacturer in Dudley is seeking an experienced Powder Coater to join their production team. The company produces a wide range of fabricated metal products, including steel enclosures, cabinets, and precision‑engineered components, all requiring high‑quality powder‑coated finishes.

This role offers long‑term stability, excellent working conditions, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare metal components through cleaning, sanding, masking, and pre‑treatment processes.
Apply powder coatings using manual and/or automated spray equipment.
Operate curing ovens and monitor temperature settings to achieve durable finishes.
Inspect coated components for colour consistency, thickness accuracy, and defect-free results.
Work with a range of fabricated steel parts, including enclosures, housings, and structural components.
Follow production schedules and maintain workflow efficiency.
Ensure work areas remain clean and follow all health & safety procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in powder coating, industrial spraying, or metal finishing.
Strong understanding of coating techniques, surface preparation, and curing processes.
Ability to work with various metal components and fabricated assemblies.
Great attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to read and understand job sheets and basic engineering drawings.
Strong awareness of workshop safety procedures.
