My client is a well-established, family‑owned manufacturing business based in Birmingham, with a long‑standing reputation for producing high‑quality components for the luxury interiors market. With decades of heritage and craftsmanship behind them, they pride themselves on creating durable, precision‑engineered products that are trusted by architects, designers, and developers worldwide.
The RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Electroplating Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong technical expertise in metal plating and a proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have proven experience plating Nickel, Chrome, and Copper, ideally within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, maintain, and adjust chemical plating solutions
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards
- Maintain and troubleshoot plating equipment
- Process components through various chemical and electroplating stages
- Ensure all work complies with company quality standards
- Adhere strictly to environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices
- A strong alignment with company values, including integrity, accountability, and excellence
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in electroplating metals (including brass)
- A positive, can‑do attitude with a mindset for continuous improvement
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Experience working with brass hardware or luxury components
- Basic computer and IT skills
- Exposure to shop‑floor machining or manufacturing processes
- Competitive salary up to £35,000 DOE

- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30, Friday: 07:30 – 12:30
