Head of Logistics Recruitment (Automotive and Manufacturing)
Contact:
Key Responsibilities- Work with suppliers to coordinate arrival of raw materials
- Work with shipping partners and carriers to update ETAs
- Schedule material transport and work alongside carriers across the UK
- Oversee and manage carrier performance and work with senior leadership to solve issues around transport
- Assist manager with production schedules and raw material plan
- Ensure material availability and ensure risks are minimised and potential shortages are identified early
- ERP System updates and track process of material throughout the supply chain
- Central point of contact across suppliers, logistics partners, warehouse and production teams; identify risks and propose proactive mitigation strategies
- Practical experience with production and transport planning in a manufacturing setting is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing/continuous improvement and S&OP or demand forecasting processes
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate data‑driven recommendations
