Product Designer

Our client is an award-winning manufacturer of luxury lighting, proudly engineering and manufacturing exclusively in the UK and are looking to recruit a Product Developer to join their small, skilled team of product engineers.

This is a hands‑on, varied role that covers the full product development lifecycle. You will be responsible for taking products from concept and CAD modelling through to production documentation, packaging, and end-user instructions.

The role offers long‑term development potential and may evolve to include management of the CAD department, working closely with teams across the business to implement procedural improvements and support continued growth.

• Work on custom orders and production drawing changes
• Model machined parts, components, and sheet metal fabrications using Solid Works
• Produce detailed dimensioned part drawings, assemblies and configurations
• Create exploded views and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support assembly
• Develop clear user instructions and diagrams alongside packaging solutions
• Source components and liaise with suppliers

• Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience in product design or product development
• Excellent proficiency in Solid Works
• Strong understanding of design for manufacture
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience), contributory pension, discretionary bonus, free on‑site parking, 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
