We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Support Manager – UK Customer.

You’ll be responsible for supporting the team to achieve their strategic ambition, supporting customers across the UK and internationally and driving the growth of HSBC UK in the right way, placing customers at the heart of everything we do in an engaging, efficient and sustainable way. You’ll understand and focus on wider Customer goals, as well as those of their immediate remit.

In this role you will:
  • Support the Head of Business Management supporting with prioritisation of key tasks, planning business activities, cyclical work pieces, preparing for meetings and forums and general office management
  • Develop and manage strong working partnerships with key operational and supporting teams to deliver as one team against our strategic priorities
  • Take personal accountability for the adoption of change and realisation of benefits within their business area
  • Proactively identify risks within their business area, implementing actions to mitigate identified risks and reporting/escalating risks and issues as required. Maintain and deliver adherence to all controls relevant to Customer Channels
  • Lead with, and encouraging others to lead with, an entrepreneurial spirit, thinking like a customer and acting like a business owner to drive sustainable growth with particular focus on the RBW strategic growth priorities
Qualifications
  • Familiar with the UK Customer team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail and experience of managing and delivering people plans to large audiences
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills that anticipate future needs and balance workload, team support and ad-hoc responsibilities to ensure all tasks are complete within required time scales
  • Ability to identify areas of opportunity from the analysis of themes and trends. Building plans and ensuring results are sustained
  • Strong stakeholder management with an ability to influence and build relationships
  • Resolves complex problems in a methodical manner independently, and with internal and external business partners, to find appropriate, efficient resolutions
  • Evidence of overseeing the application of risk management frameworks, tools and controls across all risk areas, both current and emerging
