UK Building Group Manager
Location:
UK (flexible, with travel)
Reports to:
Director of Engineering
Overview:
We’re seeking a dynamic UK Group Manager to lead our UK multi-discipline team, including Building Services, Civil & Structural, and Electrical Instrumentation & Automation. You’ll oversee technical delivery, mentor department heads, and ensure excellence from client briefing through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead UK Building Engineering departments, managing HODs, HR, recruitment, and staff development.
* Set team targets aligned with business strategy and annual budgets.
* Develop and implement the Group Development Plan, fostering a collaborative, Group-wide mindset.
* Oversee technical delivery, ensuring projects meet quality, schedule, and compliance standards.
* Support pre- and post-sales activities, including proposals, resource allocation, and client engagement.
* Mentor staff, including graduates, and drive continuous professional development.
* Promote technical excellence and share best practices across global PM Group offices.
Qualifications &
Experience:
* Degree (preferably Masters) in relevant engineering discipline.
* Chartered or Fellow membership in an industry-related professional body.
* Proven experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams.
* Expertise in building design for Pharmaceutical, Food, Energy, Healthcare (e.g., operating theatres), labs, or research centres.
* Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
