Role
Summary:
LCCC has a culture of continuous improvement, as well as change being at the heart of our business model. We work in the energy sector, where continual regulatory and market‑driven change are prevalent, and are taking on new roles to support the delivery of Net Zero schemes.
This Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting the organisation’s evolution by providing project management to the relevant areas of the business. This includes supporting the implementation of Carbon Capture & Storage, Low Carbon Hydrogen and the Nuclear Regulated Asset Base; major changes to the Contracts for Difference scheme for future allocation rounds; and improvements to the Capacity Market scheme.
Key Responsibilities- Support the business with the definition and implementation of change initiatives through project management guidance including scoping, goal setting, timeline and resource planning, risk and issue management, budgeting and handling dependencies.
Provide project management expertise across the business aligned with methodology and tools driven centrally by the Change team. - Work collaboratively with stakeholders to build change impact into planning and design in a structured way, and feed change outcomes back into the Operating Model and Process Architecture for knowledge management.
- Work with the business development team to turn impact assessments into business cases/programme initiation documents for new net zero schemes.
- Ensure that key initiatives are captured and prioritised within the LCCC Change Portfolio.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date view of the interdependencies, project plans, risks and issues across the key initiatives, and reporting on this to the Change Committee.
- Promote continuous improvement, supporting the Senior Head of Strategy & Change and other Heads to action opportunities across the business, including lessons learnt from change projects.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects within a structured project management framework, delivering complex change initiatives.
- Experience in using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and able to demonstrate appropriate choice of application depending on context.
- Able to use Jira, Excel and project management software to a high standard.
- Analytically minded with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to detail and proactive approach to work.
- Highly developed ability to work with ambiguity, manage a diverse workload with competing deadlines.
- Able to establish and maintain strong professional relationships across a broad range of internal and external parties.
- Prince 2, APM, Agile PM, or other relevant accreditation.
- Experience of working in tech, the energy sector and/or government environments.
- Experience managing technical projects in agile environments.
