The Solutions Project Manager oversees the delivery and support of the projects within the Transformation programme using Isio’s project management processes and standards.
The role requires practical knowledge of project delivery using Agile and Waterfall processes to deliver outputs to internal sponsors across the business.
This role will ideally be based in our Birmingham city centre office with a hybrid workstyle. Other Isio locations can be considered for the right candidate.
Role and Responsibilities- Delivering work streams on time, scope and budget using Agile/Waterfall approaches.
- Management of the full project life cycle, including set‑up, planning, progress reporting to key stakeholders, liaison with multiple stakeholders and third parties, project control and project close.
- Manage a variety of business and vendor tasks to weekly deliverables to keep the project on track.
- Run the daily stand‑ups as required, identify blockers and take ownership of issues to get them unblocked.
- Use detailed project plans using JIRA.
- Plan, track and mitigate scope, milestones and deliverables.
- Stakeholder mapping and management of plans.
- Ensure key processes are documented, followed, measured and reported on a regular basis.
- Identify and capture risks and issues and mitigate or elevate them as appropriate.
- Budget management and tracking to ensure the project remains within approved budget.
- Share project‑management best practices and processes to continually develop and improve Isio’s project‑management framework.
- Project Management Methodologies:
Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks. - Experience with tools such as JIRA, Trello or Microsoft Project.
- Basic knowledge of software development cycles (for tech projects).
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, developers, actuaries and senior leadership.
- Conflict resolution and negotiation abilities.
- Problem‑solving & adaptability: ability to pivot in fast‑paced environments.
- Demonstrable experience in Project/Product Management – preferably in financial services, consulting or tech‑driven sectors.
- Track record of delivering projects on time, within scope and budget.
- Managed teams of developers, designers, analysts or actuaries.
- Experience in client‑facing roles (e.g., managing stakeholder expectations).
