About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Caretaker to join our team in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the premises are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational at all times. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong background in building maintenance and a proactive, can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the building and surrounding areas
Perform routine inspections to identify safety hazards, defects, and maintenance requirements
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain clean and safe outdoor areas including pathways, car parks, and entry points
Undertake basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and joinery tasks where required
Manage waste disposal, recycling duties, and cleanliness of communal areas
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards at all times
Report major repairs or ongoing issues to management
Support facility operations including opening/locking the building, monitoring security, and maintaining equipment

Requirements

Relevant experience in a maintenance, caretaker, or facilities role
Strong practical skills across basic maintenance trades
Good understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Good communication and problem‑solving skills
Valid DBS Check (Essential)
Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)

Working Hours

Full-time role
Monday to Friday (occasional flexibility required)
