Caretaker (Facilities Management)

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Caretaker to join our Facilities Management team supporting schools in the Birmingham (B19) area. This is a temporary position essential for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional learning environment for students and staff.

Role Overview

Hourly Rate: £15.00 (PAYE)

Hours:

37.50 hours per week

Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday

Shift Times: 07:00 - 15:00 (Flexibility is required as shift patterns may vary)

Duration:
Friday, 30th January 2026 - Thursday, 30th April 2026

Key Responsibilities

Oversee general site maintenance and facilities tasks within the school environment.

Ensure the premises are secure and maintained to a high standard.

Respond to reactive maintenance requests and support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.

Maintain clear communication with school staff to ensure operational requirements are met.

Requirements

Experience:

Previous caretaker experience is preferred.

Flexibility:
Ability to work different shift patterns as required by the site.

Professionalism: A dedicated and punctual approach to site security and maintenance.

Dress Code:
Dark clothing (no joggers).

Compliance:
Enhanced DBS
