Caretaker, Building Maintenance, Facility Maintenance

Smile Education is currently looking for an experienced and reliable school Caretaker. It is essential that you have previous experience working within a school setting as well as completing general repairs and building maintenance work.

• General maintenance of school grounds and facilities
• Open and close the school and maintain security throughout
• Complete basic repairs and arrange contractors for major repairs.
• Supervise cleaning staff.
• General porterage duties.
• Key holder responsibilities
• Inspect, monitor and record building cleaning records.
• Work closely with the school Business Manager regards appropriate repairs and maintenance
• Carry out non-specialist building maintenance works i.e. plumbing and decorating.
• Record management and keeping
• Supervise, manage, and train team members.

• Previous experience working within a school environment.
• Maintenance experience.
• Eligibility to work within the UK.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure
• Professional reference checks
