Position: Logistics Operative (6 months FTC)

Purpose of the role

The main purpose of the role is to pick machine parts as per a defined picking list on a timely basis and to a high standard of pick accuracy and to cycle count stock items as per schedule. The Stores Operative will ensure that high standards of right first time efficiency and service level are consistently achieved whilst providing fast resolution to any picking or stock issues identified.

Primary

responsibilities
  • The efficient accurate and effective picking of parts for production machines in line with schedule.
  • The efficient accurate and effective cycle counting of parts to plan.
  • Processing consignments (goods inwards) from Ishida Japan.
  • The packing of parts and returns.
  • To provide positive support to team members.
  • To establish good working relationship with the Stores Team key members of Operations and external suppliers.
  • To make a positive contribution to continuous improvement activities.
  • To meet all deadlines and targets set by the Stores Team Leader.
  • To ensure that KPI targets for RFT efficiency cost and service are consistently achieved.
  • To adhere to UK Health and Safety Regulations and safe working practices.
  • Reporting of Health and Safety issues / near misses to Stores Team Leader.
What skills are we looking for

You will have excellent teamwork skills good customer service and good communication skills with a good understanding of logistics discipline including procedures and health and safety. You must have a good understanding of quality standards and time management.

To be successful in the role you must have experience in a warehouse environment must be flexible adaptable self-motivated and have a good attention to detail.
