Caretaker – Equans UK & Ireland
Join our team working in Arthur Terry School, Birmingham, B74 4RZ
. This is a permanent full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £25,500.00 per annum plus benefits.
We are looking for a Caretaker who will be responsible for the delivery of caretaking/cleaning services within the school, working closely with the school and community groups. All services must be provided to a consistently high standard in accordance with the Project Agreement.
Shift TimesMonday to Friday 8am – 4pm

Required Qualifications
- Relevant continuous experience providing FM services, including cleaning and basic maintenance of buildings and associated plant and systems (Essential)
- Experience producing risk assessments and method statements (Essential)
- Preference for experience in caretaking management within an educational environment (Desirable)
- GCSE/O Level Mathematics and English or equivalent (Desirable)
- Relevant trade or vocational qualification (Desirable)
- Good understanding of health and safety principles (Essential)
- Ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines (Essential)
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills (Essential)
- Good communication and customer‑care skills (Essential)
- Physically fit to undertake caretaking duties (Essential)
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision (Essential)
- Team player who can share knowledge (Essential)
- Flexible and willing to undertake out‑of‑hours work if necessary (Essential)
- Resident within 20 minutes travel time from the school (Essential)
