Assistant Supply Chain ManagerWe are excited to offer an opportunity for a Assistant Supply Chain Manager based at Wexham Park Hospital

- Proven experience in supply chain or inventory management, ideally within a healthcare setting
- In‑depth knowledge of the Inventory Management Systems
- Confident in gathering, analysing and interpreting data to inform decision
- Previous experience managing or supervising a team
- Strong understanding of stock control processes and the use of information systems
As part of our commitment to innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement, the Trust introduced an Inventory Management System to support the Scan4
Safety programme. You will play a key role in managing and driving change across Supply Chain operations, working closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Procurement Team Manager / Inventory Manager. Your focus will be on managing the teams, providing strong leadership, ensuring compliance and that the service runs smoothly and efficiently, and coordinating staff appropriately. As the site lead you will be expected to be proficient in Inventory Management and Logistics functions and be able to perform these functions when required.

Person Specification QualificationsEssential criteria
- A detailed and in‑depth understanding of stock control management at degree level gained either in previous employment or through equivalent qualifications.
Desirable criteria
- MCIPS qualified
Essential criteria
- Experience (minimum 2 years) at a supply chain supervisory level.
- Experience of stock control in a busy, time‑critical environment.
- Experience of managing a logistics service (minimum 2 years).
Desirable criteria
- Experience of applying principles of change management.
- Supply Chain Management training and/or Stock Control training.
Essential criteria
- Ability to interpret, analyse, communicate and present information and evidence‑based data.
- Ability to reach timely and effective decisions based on the appropriate use of information.
- Evidence of ability to prioritise and plan own work and the work of others effectively.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of medical/surgical goods and associated terminology.
