Senior Associate - Employment | Leading National Law Firm | Birmingham

BCL Legal are excited to be working with a leading national law firm as they look to expand their top-ranked Employment team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate to join a dynamic, growing team and work with a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors, including commercial, health, higher education, sports, and charities.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, the firm is looking for a Senior Associate to join their expanding Employment team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Advising clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Delivering high-quality advisory services to both commercial and higher education clients.
  • Leading the firm's client training programme, including seminars, webinars, and legal updates.
  • Supporting business development efforts to retain existing clients and attract new ones.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the wider Employment, Pensions, and Immigration service line, contributing to a high-performing, cross-office team.

The firm's Employment team is known for its commercially-focused advice and for delivering solutions to complex legal issues. The role offers opportunities to work on high-profile matters and develop professionally within a supportive, dynamic environment.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • 4+ years' experience in employment law, ideally gained at a reputable firm or in-house.
  • A broad range of experience in contentious and non-contentious employment law.
  • Strong advocacy skills and the ability to deliver client training and legal updates.
  • A passion for providing outstanding client service and building long-term client relationships.
  • A proactive attitude towards business development and a desire to grow your client base.
  • The firm is looking for someone who is self-motivated, a team player, and able to manage a demanding workload with excellent attention to detail.
