Health & Care Regulatory Senior Associate / Legal Director (Local Gov Focus)

Join Bevan Brittan LLP’s Health & Care Regulatory team – a group of over 60 professionals across Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and London—providing high‑quality, responsive support to health, social care, education and housing organisations.

We are looking for a senior lawyer to advise clients on a broad range of health, social care and education matters, including both contentious and non‑contentious work. The role will focus on local authority clients, especially in children’s and Court of Protection work, SEND matters, and business development. You will also have opportunities to participate in inquests, regulatory work and other practice‑areas.

• Manage your own varied caseload of advisory and litigation matters.
• Advocate at Court of Protection hearings and Tribunals.
• Active involvement in client care and business development.
• Assist with wider management and supervision of the team.

• 7+ PQE.
• Ability to work confidently and effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Technical excellence, organised, lateral thinker with an eye for detail.
• Enthusiasm to develop legal skills and willingness to take on challenges.
• Team player who can form strong, sustained partnerships.
• Practical and commercial approach.
• Experience leading business‑development activities.
